These shoes have been seen on every fashionable woman you can think of. The on trend bold fluorescent neon-chartruese color, PVC Cinderella like panels, and signature red bottom sole make these a must have item!
I was inspired by this image I saw of the sky. It went from a baby blue color into a glowing yellow shade, which I used as the basis for my outfits color palette. The clouds reminded me of a subtle tie-dye print so I chose this Denim tie dye button down shirt. Detachable collars are also very trendy at the moment and can add a little personality to any look, this neon one by Eleven Objects works well with the shoes. I'm obsessed with leather pants, but leather shorts are a good alternative for spring/summer. Wearing shorts instead of pants also allows me to show off the ankle strap on the shoes. The abstract floral print in the Givenchy clutch that I picked, reminded me of the clouds from my initial inspiration. For accessories I went with a statement necklace from Max and Chloe, and Gold/White Leather Pyramid Studs from Belle Noel. A classic bold red lip, winged eyeliner, and black nail polish complete the look.
The Brooklyn Museum is currently having an exhibition called Keith Haring: 1978-1982, which explores the early career of the late great artist. It will be there until July 8th, 2012, so I suggest you go check it out!
Nicholas kirkwood previously payed homage to the artist with these printed pumps. I thought a trip to the museum to see this exhibition would be the perfect time to bring them out!
I decided to re-visit my childhood and my beloved crayon box, with an artist primary color palette using Red, Yellow & Blue. I paired the pumps with a red pair of skinny jeans from Victoria Beckham denim, a yellow sweater from Altuzaraa, and a blue plexiglass clutch from Jimmy Choo. The white biker jacket by Karl tones down the bold hues. A statement necklace by Pamela Love and ring by Bijules showcase my love and appreciation for lines, such as the techniques used in Haring’s works. I chose a pair of round sunglasses by The Row, similar to the circular frames Haring used to wear. A classic red lip by Chanel, and for that playful aspect, i’d get a keith haring printed manicure to complete the look!
Kanye West never released his Pastelle line, but he did debut his women's wear collection DW (for his mother Donda West) on October 1st 2011. During his runway show, these shoes made their first appearance. They are beautifully crafted, but come with a hefty price tag of about $5,835. If you have that kind of money to spend, then congrats, but since i can't afford them I'll just imagine what I would wear them with if I owned them lol.
I found this Alexander McQueen Clutch that goes perfectly with the shoes. The sheer embellished blouse is by True Decadence. Together these pieces are glamorous and sexy but I also like to incorporate edgy elements into my looks. The skull head on the clutch is a great subtle detail but i want more! Since the blouse is sheer, I layered it over a leather bustier from Marc by Marc Jacobs. I wanted to infuse some humor into the look, and not make it too serious, so I choose these Givenchy Panther Print Trousers. The collar of the blouse is already accessorized with embellishments so a necklace isn't necessary. Instead I choose rings by Lanvin & Loree Rodkin, and earrings by Lulu Frost.
For makeup, I would go with a smokey eye using the shadows pictured, winged liquid or gel eyeliner and a sheer subtle orange gloss. A vampy nail color by Chanel completes the look.
